The Auto Owners is listed in the Fortune 500 list. It was founded in 1916. The Auto Owners insurance company is situated in Lansing, Michigan. Although the name suggests only auto insurance, Auto Owners actually provides many lines of insurance ranging form property, liability, auto, garage, workers compensation, and life. Auto insurance is used to help the customer from sudden financial loss which happens due to an accident. Actually it's an agreement made by the customer and the insurance providing company. The customer pays a certain amount to the company which is nothing but a premium and in return, the customer will be benefited if any unwanted accident occurs and damages the property.

  • The property coverage helps in the case of vehicles damage or stolen.

Summary
I was severly injured in an industrial accident and Auto Owners would only pay for minor bills. They would not operate on an ankle that had every tendon torn from a work accident. They would not take care of a broken back as a result of the same work accident. Warning: there is a reason they are reasonable on the premium. My strong suggestion is to stay away from Auto Owners. I am telling you the honest truth. Please beware..

Our loved one was hurt in an auto accident and I have been waiting forever for my money for taking care of him. Maureen Mayfield is the adjuster and she is on the low end for adjusters. I just looked her up and seen she has a masters degree in health. REALLY!!!.

Our son was killed as a passenger in an Auto Owners insured vehicle, the other three individuals lived. They promised right off that they would pay all of my son's medical bills. They paid the other three's medical bills but then refused to pay our son's bills. Auto Owners then hired the most disgusting lawyer who defamed and made false accusations about our son. They even said "Your son is not worth that much, he didn't have any dependents or a spouse, he was only a college student." The insurance lawyer did nothing to protect the insured either. It took three and half years of agony and pain as the Auto Owners layer tried to drag the case on and continued to defame our son and make false accusations about the rest of our family. I know I have never met a more disgusting person, and to think that Auto Owners paid this man to represent them. Where was their reputation then. It took over three and half years for Auto Owners to make good on our son's medical bills. It is absolutely shameful the way they made promise after promise and and showed no remorse or empathy for our loss..

I had Auto Owners Insurance and everything was fine until I got in a car wreck. The car wreck was not my fault and Auto Owners was not helpful either. They messed up on my claim and would not total out the car and then sent my car out for estimates. They realized after they had sent the check and I told them with the milage and age of the car it would make more sense to total it out. Then the same adjuster Allen was just terrible to work with. I asked him "Allen are you with me or against me"? I get the feeling you are against me and I am the victim with pain and an injury. And he said I guess I am against you. Then I told him I think your and __hole. And he said I think your an ___hole. I then spoke with his supervisor who seemed to think his behavior was just fine and that I am the one with the problem. When my doctors office called to get some bills paid he made the girl at their office cry. I said to her your not being sensative, he is mean and awful. I had to go an attorney after that because I could not stand to deal with auto owners for one more second. I had been with Farmers my whole life and decieded to give auto owners a try and save a little money. That was a huge mistake. My sister was in an accident 1 month after my accident and her stuff was handled quickly and they took care of everything and it was a breeze. My agent with Farmers is the best. I went back to Farmers after I realized how terrible auto owners was and I have been very happy ever since..

There was no second thought for me when I found that Auto-owners are being chosen by customers nationwide. I wanted to be one among those thousand customers and now I understood the importance of getting insurance from auto-owners. I joined them to get my family, business, home and car insured by their schemes. I feel that I have acted accordingly by taking the right decision at the right time by joining the right kind of insurance company. If you ask me is there any other plan so convenient and safe any where else, I would say for sure, you can find nowhere else..
